Ballarat Legacy Club Annual Sponsors

Legacy Australia (founded 1923) is dedicated to caring for the families of fallen or incapacitated veterans and is a highly respected and uniquely Australian charity. Ballarat Legacy Club Inc was founded in 1926 -- the third Club in Australia – and covers an area bordered by Bacchus Marsh in the East to St Arnaud in the West; Daylesford to the North and Meredith to the South 

Originally caring for the needs of children of deceased soldiers in the Ballarat district, this was soon amended to include widows. Identifying a need for companionship, in 1961 Ballarat Legacy Club founded the very first Laurel Club for widows.

Today Ballarat Legacy Inc maintains a membership of 80 Legatees and assists over 400 widows, children and beneficiaries with a disability. Legacy is entering its second century, and sadly, the need for our vital work is just as relevant and necessary today, as it was 100 years ago.
